With over 100 student members, the club is always growing and reaching out to SHS and other school districts/associations in Illinois and nationwide
Members find creative ways to spread awareness about substance prevention. Some of the notable events include Chalk the Walk, Streetfest Dunk Tank, and lunch activities
Members meet with policy makers to advocate for various issues such as Marijuana Prevention and Tobacco 21
Catalyst is a student-led substance use prevention club at Stevenson High School that empowers youth to build a substance-free culture through the “What’s Your Why?” campaign, prevention education in our schools and community, and legislative change.

"What's Your Why?" empowers students to think about the reasons WHY they choose to be substance-free, whether for health, family, school, athletics or future goals.
